So I happened to decide to drop by, at McEnery Convention Center, Saturday, no con tickets in hand. Did not even know that all the photoshoots took place at publicly-accessible areas, following a set schedule. The range of con experiences that await was narrow to start with, and it was time to make the most it.
(The time happened to be 3pm, when the Touhou photoshoot was to take place in an alleyway to the west of the main plaza, .)
As is standard procedure in photoshoots, we went by game, and then by request (of course, there’s no guarantee that every 2hu necessary is present).
I can say beyond a doubt, the first thought that crossed everyone’s mind when they saw the crawling tortoise was, “is it real?” I don’t care. It was real enough for me. Unfortunately, there was no Reimu around to pose with it.
Genji jokes aside, the real kicker was that this was a completely impromptu appearance. The owner himself didn’t even seem to know what Touhou is…
@ me here.
